New sports facilities officially opened at the secondary school

On Friday, 4 September 2026, the new multi-purpose sports pitch and beach volleyball court were officially opened at the iDSB secondary school.

Together with representatives from the school, the school association and the German Embassy, the opening was celebrated with a symbolic cutting of the red ribbons. This officially marked the start of use of the new sports facilities.

Afterwards, our pupils were able to try out the new pitches straight away. Whether playing volleyball, football or taking part in other sporting activities – the new facilities were immediately filled with lots of movement and life.

With the multi-purpose sports pitch and the beach volleyball court, the iDSB is expanding its range of sports and physical activity options whilst also creating two new attractive spaces on the school grounds. In future, these modern outdoor areas will offer our pupils even more opportunities to exercise together, play sport and spend their breaks actively.
