At iDSB, we see school as a place that evolves alongside the people who bring it to life every day. That is why, this year too, we are making targeted investments in the modernisation and further development of our learning and living spaces.

Many measures have already been implemented, and further improvements will be carried out over the course of the school year and during the summer holidays. Our aim is to create an environment in which children, young people and staff alike feel at home, enjoy learning and enjoy spending time together.

KiBi: New spaces for the youngest children

Extensive work is also planned for the nursery during the summer holidays. Our aim is to create spaces that better meet the children’s needs and become places they truly love.

The refurbishment of all seven group rooms will create bright, welcoming and modern environments that encourage play, learning and discovery. New furniture, fresh colours and contemporary fittings will ensure that the children feel at home and can go about their daily lives in an atmosphere that conveys a sense of security and joy.

GS: Preserving Traditions, Creating New Opport-unities

In the primary school, too, new favourite spots are gradually emerging for our pupils. All the classrooms have already been repainted, giving them an even friendlier and more welcoming feel.

The music room is also being further upgraded. This will create a friendly and welcoming space that encourages pupils to make music, experiment and share experiences together.

The amphitheatre, in particular, is set to become an even greater hub for socialising in future. The refurbishment of the steps and seating, a fresh coat of paint on the walls, noise-reducing features and the redesign of the entrance area are creating an atmosphere that invites people to linger.

OS: Modern Learning and Social Spaces

The secondary school will also see many new developments in the coming months. Modern learning spaces, attractive communal areas and new opportunities for exploration, physical activity and socialising will help to create more favourite spots for our pupils.

The modernisation of the second floor and the repainting of all classrooms, corridors and the canteen will result in bright, contemporary spaces that encourage learning and collaborative work.

There is a particular focus on the natural sciences. Newly designed science classrooms, along with new experiments and teaching materials, are creating learning environments that encourage discovery and exploration.

The secondary school is also being further enhanced outside the classrooms. New seating areas and improvements to the football pitch are creating additional spaces for physical activity, socialising and relaxation.

Auditorium: A Central Space with a Fresh New Look

Our auditorium is also undergoing extensive refurbishment. The result will be a modern and welcoming venue that provides the perfect setting for performances, concerts, celebrations and communal events.

Plans include a new coat of paint, cladding for the control room, refurbishment and sealing of the parquet floor, new seating and modern lighting fixtures.
