Alumni Visit: Memories, Encounters, and New Impressions
On April 24, the Class of 2016 visited the International German School in Brussels. We were warmly welcomed by Ms. Madariaga, who greeted us kindly and then gave us a tour of the school. As soon as we entered the building, many of us were flooded with memories of our own school days.
The focus of the visit was on sharing memories. During the tour, we told each other stories from back in the day and recalled special moments from our everyday school life. Many places—such as the classrooms, the schoolyard, and the gym—immediately brought back old memories and created a nostalgic atmosphere.
It was especially nice to see familiar places again and realize just how much our time at the iDSB has shaped us. At the same time, we were able to observe the changes that have taken place at the school since then. The visit was therefore not only interesting for our entire graduating class, but also emotional and unifying.
At the end of the day, we took home many wonderful impressions and memories. The visit to the iDSB was a special experience for all of us, one that will remain in our memories for a long time to come.
