JuMu Regional Competition in Geneva

The 30th JuMu National Competition is taking place in Geneva this year – and we’re taking part! Eight of our young musicians from Brussels are set to compete.

Today, tomorrow and on Saturday, our JuMu participants will be showcasing their talents in various categories. The performances will be held in three different auditions rooms – and the pianists will even get to perform in a beautiful church right in the city centre.

We’re excited and keeping our fingers crossed!

Schedule for participants from Brussels:

Today: at 2.00 pm Piano Solo

Tomorrow:

• at 9.20 am Piano Solo
• at 10.20 am Violin & Viola da Gamba
• at 10.30 am Violin & Cello
• 10.45 am Mixed ensemble: 2 violins & cello
• 11.20 am Drum set solo with guitar accompaniment

On Saturday:

• 9.20 am Piano solo
• 9.30 am Guitar solo with drum set accompaniment

And for those who’d like to see our talented students perform live, the next opportunity is coming up soon: the iDSB Music Department cordially invites you to this year’s Atelier Concert. On 23 April 2026 at 7.30 pm, this year’s ‘Jugend musiziert’ prize-winners and other talented students will be presenting their musical performances in the iDSB auditorium.
