Plus jamais ça !

On Tuesday, a kick-off event for the study trip to Izieu took place at the German Embassy in Brussels. Belgian schools, a class from the Lycée Français and seven Year 11 pupils from the iDSB came together to prepare for the upcoming study trip.

The focus was on the moving accounts of two contemporary witnesses, which the students listened to attentively. Afterwards, they exchanged their thoughts and reflected together on what they had heard – an impressive and important moment of remembrance and learning.

The Maison d’Izieu is a memorial and monument to the genocide of Jewish orphans during National Socialism.
