iDSB sets an example for democracy and tolerance – #IchStehAuf campaign day

The year 2024 is all about democracy: with the European elections, numerous state parliamentary elections and local elections, a major election year lies ahead. At the same time, we are celebrating 75 years of the Basic Law – a significant milestone for our democracy.

In this important year, we at the iDSB would like to raise our students’ awareness of democracy, tolerance and the fight against hatred. As part of the #IchStehAuf project, which was initiated by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Heidehof Stiftung, among others, we want to set an example together with over 1,500 schools in Germany. The day of action is based on photo campaigns and project lessons in which schools emphasise the importance of democracy (e.g. by standing up in the classroom).

The #IchStehAuf project offers a valuable opportunity to actively involve our pupils in the democratic process and show them how important their voice and commitment are.
