Lunch Bags Campaign in November

A big thank you for 79 lovingly designed lunch bags that we were able to distribute with volunteers from Serve the City to homeless people and migrants in Brussels!

Christmas market proceeds

A huge thank you from Serve the City to the iDSB community who worked so hard to make the Christmas Market a huge success. Serve the City Brussels is this year’s recipient organisation of the proceeds from the iDSB Christmas Market.

The money will be used to provide basic services in the current humanitarian crisis in Brussels. In addition to providing hot meals and breakfast at the doors of the shelter for asylum seekers, volunteers distribute warm clothes and sleeping bags. On their website, Serve the City inform that “it is estimated that up to 6,000 asylum seekers are sleeping on the streets of Brussels this winter. In addition, there are thousands of homeless people who are not part of the asylum seeker group.” Thank you!
