Reading ‘Bornholmer Strasse’

At the beginning of the year, we listened with enthusiasm and interest to the true story of the border officer Harald Jäger, who opened the Bornholmer Straße barrier on 9 November 1989 after Günter Schabowski announced freedom of travel for GDR citizens. In addition to Harald Jäger, Gerhard Haase-Hindenberg read from his book on the film “Bornholmer Straße” and our students asked many interesting questions, which stimulated an exciting discussion.
