Was für ein Zirkus – eine unvergessliche Woche für die GS und 5. Klassen

What a circus! Every five years, a very special tradition comes to life here – and from 23 to 26 March, it was that time again: in a real big top, our pupils from Years 1 to 5 worked with the team from Circus Casselly to put together a complete show in just four days.

Trapeze, floor acrobatics, tightrope, aerial hoop, juggling, clowning, magic show – the children chose their acts, practised with perseverance and learnt their lines by heart. The enthusiasm and dedication with which they threw themselves into the task was impressive.

Our neighbouring school, La Fermette, and the Kibi from the iDSB were invited to attend the two dress rehearsals as part of the audience, before the two gala performances provided the grand finale – in front of a thoroughly delighted audience.

A heartfelt thank you goes to all the parents, as well as the entire team of teachers and educational staff who helped with setting up and dismantling the tent, and to the International Baptist Church, which generously made its grounds available to us.
