Enrolment ceremony at iDSB – 30 August 2025

On Saturday morning, 30 August 2025, we welcomed our new first graders and their families with a special celebration. The day began with a church service at the German-speaking community in Brussels, followed by a warm welcome from the school management in the primary school amphitheatre.

Equipped with ‘school bags’ and lovingly designed school cones, the children were then welcomed by the second graders. Music, singing and small performances gave a nice preview of what awaits them in the coming school year – reading, writing, new friendships and fun breaks together.

After the children had completed their first lesson with their teachers, Ms Schubach and Ms Senft, the families enjoyed meeting each other, chatting and sampling small delicacies in the schoolyard while they waited. The morning ended with open school bags and proud children eagerly looking forward to their new adventure.
