German-French friendship at iDSB

On Thursday, German-French friendship was celebrated at our school. Students from the Lycée français Jean Monnet were our guests, accompanied by special visitors: the German and French ambassadors.

Our French KiBi children and first graders kicked things off with a welcome song – a wonderful start to a special day. The children and young people then took part in various activities and workshops.

In the secondary school, pupils discussed current political issues and the importance of German-French relations with Ambassadors Lapeyre de Cabanes and Kotthaus.

The close cooperation between Germany and France has its roots in the Élysée Treaty of 1963 – and is still brought to life today through encounters such as this.
