The school association’s New Year’s reception: a successful start to the new year

Yesterday, the school association of the International German School Brussels welcomed the school community and numerous interested guests to its traditional New Year’s reception. In an exceptionally warm and cheerful atmosphere, parents, pupils, teachers and friends of the school came together to start the new year together.

A special highlight of the evening was the speech by the German Ambassador, Mr Martin Kotthaus, who provided much food for thought with his words. He then openly and enthusiastically answered questions from two students on current political issues – a moment that met with great interest and appreciation from the audience.

In addition, long-standing employees of the school were honoured for their commitment. The evening ended on a high note with sparkling wine, finger food and many stimulating conversations.
