Mooimaker in action
With the arrival of the warm spring days, it’s not just nature that is showing its best side – our Mooimakers are also out and about again with full vigour. Our schoolchildren regularly get involved in clearing rubbish from the school environment, setting a strong example of environmental awareness and community spirit.
Despite the challenge that new rubbish keeps turning up, our young helpers are not discouraged. Equipped with tongs and bin bags, they are enthusiastic about their work – so much so that the rubbish is sometimes collected faster than you can see.
These campaigns are part of the Mooimakers programme, which encourages schools in Flanders to actively combat littering and promote sustainable awareness. Last year, we were already able to achieve a significantly cleaner school environment thanks to the commitment of our pupils.
A big thank you to all Mooimakers young and old – your efforts not only make our school cleaner, but also more liveable!
