The maths laboratory is a place where the children can experiment and explore the subject in an open and welcoming environment. It has been well-equipped with teaching and learning materials that can be used both by the students on their own, and with their teacher, to explore the world of mathematics - to discover, to learn and to develop confidence in the subject.
The activities are designed to create interest among our young students who want to explore and test some of their ideas and beliefs about mathematics by using practical examples. The lab enables the teacher or student to demonstrate and explain mathematical ideas by using concrete objects, models, charts, graphs and pictures.
The activities in the lab appeal to the different ages and varying mathematical abilities of the children. They provide an opportunity for the students to discover and enjoy maths through informal exploration and action.
