Please find all information on the scholarship and your application HERE.
School structure
Our Gymnasium starts in class 5 and finishes at the end of class 12 with the German International Abitur Examination (DIAP).
Classes and number of pupils
Every year, we have two classes where students learn in classrooms and sometimes in the course system. The classes consist of 16 to 24 pupils, with a maximum limit of 25 students.
Class hours
Our students attend compulsory classes from 8:00 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. For classes 5 to 9, the classes end at 1:10 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. Due to the possible subject selection in classes 10 – 12, the students can have classes until 5:20 p.m.
Classroom language
German, sometimes English
Foreign languages
English and French are taught as first and second foreign languages. Spanish and Dutch are also offered for those interested. Latin is also offered to pupils with previous language knowledge.
Curricula
Teaching is based on the Thuringian Educational Plan, which is considered a high-quality educational standard and approved by German authorities. This thus makes it possible to easily change schools within German schools abroad and in Germany. In addition, our comprehensive school curriculum is also tailored to the needs of our students.
School-leaving qualification
The German International ‘Abitur’ entitles you to study at any university worldwide. It allows you to pursue any course of study regardless of the subjects you studied in secondary school. It also serves as proof of the excellent foreign language skills (focus on English) of our students who receive comprehensive language classes with bilingual or completely foreign language teaching units during their last three school years.
